Vintage Annalee Mobilitee 7" Santa Doll & 8" MushroomThe doll has closed eyes and a closed mouth. The doll is dressed in a Santa suit with green mittens and light green strips on the feet. The doll is holding a red and white bag. These are all sewn in place and are not removeable. Annalee Mobilitee dolls have a bendable wire frame and a felt body. The wire frame makes the doll posable. Currently, Santa is posed to hug the mushroom. The mushroom also has a wire frame so the mushroom cap can be adjusted.Made in USA. Prior to 2002, Annalee Mobilitee dolls were made entirely in New Hampshire. After 2002, production was outsourced overseas.No paper tag or stand is included.The seam tags (see photos #11, #19 & #20) are marked 1970. Our research indicates that date referred to the year of initial design. It does not necessarily mean the date of manufacture, so we'd date the doll and mushroom more generally to the 1970's, which would make them around fifty years old.Our relative had stored the doll and mushroom for years in a bin with a few other Annalee dolls and some other vintage Christmas decorations. Additionally, the doll & mushroom were protected in a loose bag that was taped closed. As a result of the care taken with the set, it appears to be in very good condition. We found no fading, wear or tear on either the doll or the mushroom. We did notice some age (yellow) spots on the base of the mushroom (see photos #10 & #11). The mushroom also has a number of beige spots around the stem and base that look to correspond to the glue used in making making it. Please closely review the photos for condition. Please note that due to the lighting used to better capture details and condition, we found that the colors in the photos are a bit more vibrant than they are in reality.
